Americans Abroad Weekend Preview: Bobby Wood, Christian Pulisic, and more

A pair of American forwards could go head-to-head this weekend in the German Bundesliga, looking to help them their clubs grab some important mid-seasonpoints.

Borussia Dortmund snatched their first victory of 2018 last weekend, and midfielder Christian Pulisic will hope to propel his team to a win against Bobby Wood and Hamburg. Caleb Stanko is searching for his first start since Nov. 4th as Freiburg travels to Hannover in a top-twelve battle. Timmy Chandler and Eintracht Frankfurt will look to rebound at home against Koln after a defeat a week ago.

Elsewhere, a pair of American defenders will square off in England’s second-tier as Antonee Robinson and Bolton welcome Tim Ream and Fulham to town. Cameron Carter-Vickers and Ipswich Town face off with Burton Albion, while Eric Lichaj and Nottingham Forest welcome Hull City to the City Ground. In Belgium, Kenny Saief and Anderlecht travel to Oostende on Saturday, looking to snap a three-match winless run.

  1. Hamid was the back up today in their 2-0 win. Hope him being away at January camp didn’t hurt his chances at claiming starting spot
