USMNT vs. Bolivia: The Pregame Tailgate

The time of transition for the U.S. Men’s National Team continues on Monday night against Bolivia.

Following a 1-0 victory over Paraguay in March, the USMNT gets back to work on Memorial Day against Bolivia in Chester. The average age of the roster is 22 years old, which shows a lot of promise towards the future of the program. It is a roster that has 39 combined caps between them, with 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic leading the bunch. Weston McKennie, Matt Miazga, Keaton Parks, and Eric Lichaj also feature in the roster which provides plenty of intrigue on what Dave Sarachan’s plans are for the future with the team.

SBI will be providing commentary on the match tonight, so please feel free to join us as we discuss tonight’s friendly a bit closer to kickoff.

  1. Really excited to hear Rob talk shit on pulsic after the game. Seriously though, Happy Memorial Day everyone. Even you Rob, hope your mom let your dumb ass have a sip of her beer.

  2. Official lineup has players I listed above in a 4-1-4-1. It has Rubin on the left and Weah on the right which seems counter to where they normally play so don’t read too much into the description. McKennie is the DM.

  3. Unofficially so far but Wash Post and American Outlaws saying

Sargent, Rubin, Weah, Pulisic, Corona, McKennie, Lichaj, Zimmerman, EPB, Robinson, Bono

No Guido or Horvath on the bench, but the other 9 are listed.

    • After Sarachan talking about the central defense he’s going to start Zimmerman and EPB? I am always surprised by the thinking of USSOCCER.

      • Zimmerman might be staying stateside, and maybe then starting EPB because he’s been his partner in training. Grasping at straws.

  4. Let’s go USA! The kids better all play like Messi, and Sarachan has to display the genius of Guardiola, or else U.S. soccer is doomed. This match is a must-win. The result means everything!

    • If they don’t we’ve got some U16s that show some real promise and I hear a U14 just signed with Barca’s academy so you know he’s better than anyone in MLS.

    • This game is a must win that’s why I’m switching it up already
