  1. I posted earlier but it isn’t showing up for me so I apologize if this duplicates
Kekuta Manneh in Switzerland and Josh Gatt in Austria also in action this weekend. Look for Chris Richards for Bayern as well, I’m sure he’ll disappear when Hummels and Boatang return and move others into the backup spots, but his play has been surprising given FC Dallas hadn’t even suited him above their U19 squad.

Does anyone know whats going on with Matt Miazga?

    • I didn’t know Manneh went to Switzerland. Is it their first division? They have a couple of decent clubs there. One year a Swiss club beat Tottenham in the knockout stage of the Europa Cup.

      • St. Gallen dressed in their Europa League qualifier. I didn’t know either until he didn’t dress for a Copa Mx match this week and I went looking. Apparently free transfer on July 1.

  2. We really need Hamid to get the starter job locked down, for the sake of the USMNT. While i like Steffen, i still think he makes too many mistakes! Hamid didn’t show well in his last US game, but that was down to not playing much for his club. Hamid for me is better at commanding the box, more athletic and has more experience! I wouldn’t be turned off however if Steffen won the gig, he has some serious upside it seems!

    • Unless Hansen, the starter, transfers this month it doesn’t appear Hamid is going to get much time. Hamid didn’t help himself either with his performance this Summer, to earn a transfer somewhere else.

    • I agree with pretty much everything here. Hamid is for sure a great shot-stopper, and a commanding presence. But he’s always hurt. And now he’s making bizarre moves. He needs to land somewhere or he is going to be lost in a bad way.
