The U.S. Men’s National Team concludes their international break with a friendly against Concacaf rivals Mexico in Nashville.
In their last 10 meetings against El Tri, the USMNT has posted a 3-3-4 record and will face Mexico for the first time in a friendly since 2015. Dave Sarachan’s squad is coming off a 2-0 friendly defeat to Brazil last Friday, while Mexico was thumped by Uruguay 4-1 at home.
Tim Weah and Gyasi Zardes will lead the attack for the Stars and Stripes while Zack Steffen remains in goal.
Nothing friendly about it. Meet our starting XI for #USAvMEX, pres. by @ATT.

Sorry, Jimmy, that I didn’t notice that you were on the SBI team. It would be nice if you could all have a profile somewhere, not just your posts but also a little on background and interests. An e-mail address would also be nice, as not everyone wants to tweet.
All I picked up from reading along is that you didn’t seem to be doing either the minute-by-minute as announced, or tactical analysis during the game. It was not quite clear to me why .02 was doing MBM as a volunteer and evidently struggling, despite a valiant effort.
.
I don’t know who here has “played the game at a relatively high level,” or how much that matters. I would like the chance to see profiles of users as well. But it’s clear enough that there is either some excess testosterone around, or some (Russian?) trolls who only want to sow anger.
.
If some of you have special insight into tactics or strategy, I would appreciate it if you would simply share your knowledge, because I would like to learn. What was it that changed the game enough to make a difference when McKennie went off and Green came on, and with subsequent changes?
.
The problem of order of posts seems to be a software thing. Longer-time users know that you have to use “Reply” to avoid reverse chronological order. The website itself could address this problem by at least posting not just the date but the time of posts, and by setting the default to chronological rather than reverse for all posts, as in a forum rather than a blog.
.
Well, it may have taken a red card, but a win is a win! Great performance by Tyler Adams. Hopefully a result like this against Mexico will give the young USMNT squad confidence going forward.
my two cents: well, keeping in mind these are the youth for both sides, to mexico’s credit our 11 man side was high stepping against mexico’s 10 man side, but ineffective against their 11 man side. our usa team showed well, but has a road map for self-improvement all laid out for itself now.
Miazga with the Goochesque ‘get the F out of here’ physical taunting after Lainez chipped at his heels…that changed the game!

Good thing Pineda and Jimenez weren’t out there out there so we could attack more. ?
dear whammm, you criticize me. that’s your right. but do you realize this is maybe the first comment you wrote in 6 months that wasn’t about rob? if you would write less about rob and more comments like this about the soccer, i think no one here would probably ever have anything negative to say about you.
Anyone that played the game at a relatively high level want to do the play by play next game? If nobody else offers I guess I’ll do it. Sounds like a high school side judge who forgot his glasses in here.
i have no quarrel with you, whammm. go for it!

Tuesday 18th, Liverpool – PSG, Univisión.
That was such a great play overall. The cross from Robinson was well placed, but the long run from Adams to get on the end of the cross was sublime.

I think ?? Jesus Christ if you don’t know players names or who scores quit doing the play by play. What’s the point? Dork.
