The U.S. Men’s National Team are back in action on Tuesday evening, battling a familiar foe in Nashville.

Following a 2-0 defeat to Brazil last Friday at Metlife Stadium, the USMNT faces Concacaf rivals Mexico seeking a positive end to this international break. Dave Sarachan again built his roster on youth, hoping to get another glimpse at the future of this squad. Headlining the roster is midfielder Weston McKennie and forward Timothy Weah, while Tyler Adams, Gyasi Zardes, and Wil Trapp all are having impressive MLS campaigns.

  1. 1-1 in 1st int’l break since WC against 2 quality opponents. Colombia & Peru next month, then England and Italy across the pond. Good to see young players gaining valuable experience in these tough friendlies, with no real tourney until next summer.

The most glaring weakness right now? Striker. Wood is it until one or more of the young players begins to break out.

  2. OMG!!!! We are in trouble! Absolutely no creativity. This is American soccer, kick it hard and far and hope it goes in the net. All this is… is adult rec soccer. VERY INFANTILE!!! Nothing has changed. Stewart and an MLS coach are not the answer.

  3. Sarachan somehow managed to produce a lineup that includes 4 defensive midfielders… Awesome! And Zardes as the lone striker… this is surely going to work out.
