  1. No Jona Gonzalez. California kid might be regretting dropping US (that’s the American tie-in). He could have been getting looks as the MB90 replacement. He’s a holding midfielder who can cover ground and has quickness. Basically, a better passing, more technical Will Trapp.

  2. “American perspective” doesnt mean American only. Or would you rather the site stop covering the EPL and La Liga? Relax, Francis.

  3. No clue why this article is on SBI. Isnt the motto “soccer news from an American perspective”, or something close to that? Who cares about the Mexican national team and who is being called up, unless they are about to play the USMNT?

      • Then why not cover the Selecao? Brazil outdraws both the US and Mexico in viewership and stadium attendance…

    • Well…on this, I’m interested. They’re our big rivals in CONCACAF and Tata was ATL for two years, so I’m intrigued, and while it doesn’t apply directly to us, it sorta does in the sense that we see these cats…a lot.

    • Liga Mx has the best ratings on American television. Not sure about your statement that Brazil gets better attendance and ratings than Mexico? In their matches against the US last year Mexico drew 40,000 Brazil only 32,000. The matches were 4 days apart Brazil was in the New York City area and Mexico in Nashville. Mexico was on a Tuesday night. A lot of other factors but a sign that Americans are very interested in Mexican men’s national team.
