Romain Gall is reportedly close to heading to Norway on loan.
According to Swedish outlet Expressen, Malmo has agreed to a deal with Norwegian top-flight side Valerenga for Gall’s services. Although the clubs have already agreed, Gall has yet to make up his decision on the move.

Gall joined from fellow Allsvenskan outfit Sundsvall in 2018 and has scored eight goals and added three assists in 32 combined appearances. However, despite a one-goal, two assist performance in Europa League qualifying this month, Gall has struggled for consistent minutes this calendar year.
The 24-year-old French-American playmaker has also appeared for Lorient II, the Columbus Crew, Austin Aztex, and Nykopings during his professional career.
Gall has won one cap with the U.S. Men’s National Team, back in late 2018 under then-interim head coach Dave Sarachan.
Valerenga are currently fifth in the Norwegian Eliteserien this season.
many UEFA teams treat early domestic cup and qualifying/group round matches like we do USOC. it’s a B/C team game. i thought he showed some danger for the NT so i would like to see him playing so Berhalter is out of lame excuses.
Yes Malmo was up 7-0 on aggregate in the return match that Gall scored and assisted in. He didn’t play in either match of the next round which ended 5-4 in favor of Malmo. He’s only played in 1 of 6 matches in the Allveskan since the Summer break so seems clear he’s not in Malmo’s plans. More of a true winger than Morris of course, but not better than Boyd or Weah for my money.
You don’t really know where player from random league x slots in until he gets played. The thrust of so many of these arguments seems to be to justify a status quo that is no better than second in the region and we already know that with the benefit of hindsight. I don’t get knowing it’s not good enough and yet resisting further change.
You’re probably right in terms of Gall but I have seen him play for Malmo when he was playing more frequently. Let’s face it how often do we ever have all of our first choices? Virtually never.
