  1. I love how dejected he looks after the team played so bad. I love how pissed he was at being subbed. I love he owned the play where he had a shot he should have buried. I really am not worried about his future with Chelsea, I think his attitude and talent will get him on the field eventually. Pulisic should captain the USMNT going forward, the rest of the guys could learn something from his attitude.

  2. BOYCOTT USMNT UNTIL BERHALTER IS FIRED ALSO DONT WATCH GAMES BELIEVE ME IF WE DO THIS TOGETHER WE WILL ACOMPLISH THE GOAL TO GET A MORE QUALIFIED COACH. IS IT REALLY WORTH WATCHING SUCH A PAINFUL SQUAD DETERIORATE BY GAME? DO WE REALLY WANT TO RISK ANOTHER FAILURE TO A WORLD CUP? WE ALL KNOW WHAT’S COMING IF BERHALTER ISN’T FIRED!!

  3. His voice there. May be it is the flu it’s that time of year and that’s about how I’d sound if dealing with a bad flu. He says he’s fine but I’m not sure. He’s a warrior he’s not going to say it and make it an excuse.

However, if it’s not flu related he sounds really depressed right now. I’m legit worried about where he is right now mentally based on that voice if it’s not the flu. He’s dealt with some tough breaks and hard expectations the past two years so it’s understandable.

There was also a hint of ‘indifference’ in his tone/voice in how he answered. Could just be the flu too. I do think he cares and has enormous heart for the NT but who wouldn’t feel indifferent or down about this system and tactics and player selection. Add up the way he slammed the ball on the spot for Sargents PK, the reaction on the bench last night to GB, and his tone/voice in this interview still in his shirt after the game and it all adds up to a very pissed off and now getting into the next stage of indifference about it. That’s my take, hoping it’s just the flu though but those emotions say it’s more than a little flu.

We ride or die on Pulisic if he’s not feeling this manager the manager has to go, that simple.

  4. The US team played the way a pick-up game is played. Disjointed movements among players who never played together. Canada was the opposite. The coach is either not getting through or he has a singularly inapt bunch of guys. It is obvious he needs to be replaced.

  5. Tired of stale boring and lackluster performances by the USMNT, much like Greggs absurdly same lame shirt sweater combo. Berhalter the plain oatmeal cereal of coaches were gotta do better than this get rid of the bum system is never going to work with our current talent pool.

  6. Pulisic looked like a kid about to cry in the back seat of the car, because his mom said no to buying him candy or a action figure in the store lol

    • Why can’t he look like a kid about to cry in the back seat of a car because they just put his dog down after years of loyalty and friendship? You’re making CP sound like a spoiled little brat which is unwarranted. Day in and day out he has been the best US player on the field for the national team. Show some more class to your peers, Jimmy. Because no one with any power will read your comment and give a damn.

      • I don’t value your opinion nor anyone else who is mad at what I said. His openly being critical and emotional is why he is in the dog house with Lampard at Chelsea. He was not good last night him playing well in the past did and does not count. The present was what mattered, right then and now! He even got a close up point blank shot when game was still 0-0 and still could not put it away. We would have def won the game or tied if CP scored that. Sounds like he is having the Freddy Adu regressive curse.

    • I wish US soccer had less fans like you. Need more fans who know what they’re talking about. Go back in your cave and come back out for the games that matter since those are the only ones you actually watch

      • You in your feelings and mad because I am spitting facts. The fact you have to stoop to insults and personal atracks as your reply with no argument shows you are blind like the rest of the fan base that have to treat Pulisic with delicate sof hands like he is supernatural and almighty. Smh??‍♂️

  7. Pulisic had a bad game, but it was a mistake to take him off. He is the one US player who can be a real difference maker. The other thing is that he seemed to be about the only player trying hard. One thing about Pulisic is that I can’t recall a game when you could doubt his commitment.

    • Agreed. I was baffled by the decision to remove him (even though he was not playing well). Kid is def going through a tough patch and this experience will sting. Still, I have no reason to believe he won’t come through it.

      • 3G’s substitutions were baffling. I would have taken off Roldan, who nearly made a shambolic back pass in the first half and was generally terrible, for Lletget, the type of player that can often make a difference. Lovitz, who shouldn’t even be on the roster, was replaced by Lima. Wasted substitution, especially since AFAIK the reason Lovitz started over Lima in the first place was his offensive ability and 3G is bringing in the supposedly better defender late in the match trailing 1-0?

    • 3G said he had the flu. It’s hard to catch but he’s asked about it at the beginning and said he felt fine today. He doesn’t look or sound like he’s 100% how much of that is health or just post game dejection I don’t know.

    • There was a guy on this site a few years back who recommended a boycott of US Soccer (think it had something to do with the LD omission, but others may remember better) . Posted about it every day for a couple months. Eventually it became apparent that the “boycott” wasn’t going so well.

The point? Following US Soccer is a leisure activity. People do it because they want to, even if it doesn’t make them feel happy sometimes. Sure we are all passionate (why else would we still be frequenting the comments section of a site like this?!?). But the idea of a “boycott” is absurd, not to mention probably offensive to people who have participated in real, painful boycotts for things far more important than soccer.

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with expressing your displeasure with the state of things. Find the right channels and make yourself a nuisance. Be loud about it.

    • Boycott? Hard to call it that when it is already such a marginal, fringe element in our nation. But………… until a correction in course and something worth watching- of my own volition- I’m done wasting precious time on a completely inept, myopic, mismanaged, self enabling organization trying to exploit love of the game and country. The product is absolute rubbish as is the inbred organization. Not only have things not improved since what ought to have been an enormous wake up call for this organization- they’ve managed to get much worse. US Soccer- lots of humility would go a long way- you are out of your depth. Bring, learn from people better than you. Call for help from the best. Meantime- I’m out. Cheers.

    • Guys, this commenter is an idiot and has no clue what he’s talking about. He’s the guy who smashes a TV because he lost in a video game. No one to blame but himself. Let this one person boycott all he wants if it will keep him from constantly buying new TVs to replace the ones he smashes.

Real ones can sit back and laugh at the irrational people out there.
