Chris Richards continued his development with Bayern Munich II this weekend, scoring his second goal of the season.
The U.S. Under-23 Men’s National Team defender scored the eventual game winning goal in Bayern II’s 4-2 road victory over Viktoria Koln. Richards’ 88th-minute header handed Bayern II their their consecutive league win to move them to 11th place in the 3. Liga table.

Not only has Richards come up with two goals this season, but he’s continued to play consistently in defense for the German club. Up next is a home match against FC Hallescher on Feb. 17th.
Shaq Moore scored his first goal for Tenerife this season in a 4-2 road league win over Extremadura on Saturday. Moore continued to start for the Spanish second-tier side, helping them move up to 15th in the 22-team division. Moore also won three duels. won two aerial battles, and made seven recoveries in the win.
Duane Holmes scored for the second time this week for Derby County, helping them to a 3-2 road win over Swansea City. The Rams extended their winning run to three matches in all competitions with the victory in Wales. Holmes has formed a nice partnership with former D.C. United man Wayne Rooney in the heart of the EFL Championship side’s midfield.
Timmy Chandler scored a brace for Eintracht Frankfurt in a 5-0 beatdown of Augsburg on Friday. Chandler has scored four goals in his last four matches for Adolf Hutter’s side, keeping them in the race for a European qualification spot.

Servania’s younger brother, played in a scrimmage vs AtlUnited, Saturday. He’s only played for PRs youth setup, but hopefully, he becomes part of the US youth movement. If not Puerto Rico, has got a hell of a player. He was all over the pitch. During the match, I saw him play LW, RW, and cover deep in midfield, he’s extremely versatile!

I watched the Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig game. Thanks to Beerholder the commentators were confused the whole game if Tyler Adams was playing RWB or RWM. It seemed like he was playing both alternating throughout the game. Beerholder is not bright using Tyler Adams as a RWB when he is a beast in the Midfield.
Berhalter said recently that he sees Adams as a midfielder but necessarily as a six. In one match 3G used Adams as a RB when Ecuador had the ball and as a CM while in possession. The US was in possession for 62% of the match. Likewise in a 3-4-3 for RBL in possession he was a M in defense a WB unfortunately for Leipzig today they didn’t have much of the ball. FYI, Marsch played Adams at RB much more than Berhalter no shade for him?

Adams motor and his skill makes him able to play many positions. In that game on Sunday the formation was listed as a 3-4-3 for RBL. Adams was at the right midfield spot. I noticed he was caught out of position a few times when he was suppose to be back helping mark up. But i also noticed he was well inside the opponents box a few times in the attack. He was pretty much all over the pitch. “Beerholder” (as you called him) isn’t the first person to come up with this hybrid position. I believe it was Pep who turned Philip Lahm into a hybrid rb. Anyway it’s not because of “Beerholder” that Nagelsmann decided to play Adams in that role and it’s also not 3g’s fault the commentators couldn’t figure it out. That was Nagelsmann’s call to play him there and he must see something in Adam’s ability to pull this off. Anyway, i am not a fan of 3g but to blame him for the commentators confusion and where adam’s plays in his club team isn’t fair. At this point i believe all of us want to seem Adams play in the role like Kante did for Leicester City, Chelsea (under Conte) and France. Adams has the motor and the ability to be the connection from defense to the offense. What i would like to see more of that Kante has is the ability to win the ball back from the opponents immediately after they have won it. It’s what made Kante the center piece of the 2018 WC winning team. I will end with this where ever Adams plays on the pitch it’s apparent that the kid can flat out play.

Adams was playing a wide midfield position and was forced to help defend much further back because Davies is such a beast going forward. (If Davies learns to make better crosses, that will become a bigger issue; he is dangerous enough as it is.)

Adams has the legs (but not the speed of Davies) and the smarts to help where he is needed, that coupled with the threat posed by Davies meant Adams spend a lot of time on or near his own penalty area.
