I liked you show. At the time you were one of the few soccer podcasts. Now there are numerous choices. Why are you playing interviews when the concafis ready to start. You do a good job with the mls why not focus on all the developing stories in the US. Europe is in another world I would much rather hear about mls than what is happening with some US player in England.
Except for his mental fatigue, Donavon was reasonably free of any serius injury.
Calos Bocanegra missed a good part of his second year in MLS due to an ankle injury and a stretch in 2009 between WC qualifying and the Confedertions Cup.
Dempsey missed much of a year due to an irregular heart rate, which ended his career prematurely.
Michael Bradley missed most of his first year in MLS due to injury.
Howard was pretty injury free, but you kinda expect that from a keeper.
Stuart Holden, Bobby Convey, John O’Brien were famous for time off injured.

Injuries are the bane of any professional athletes life. It is hard to find more than a small fraction who have not suffered from injury, even Tiger Woods has missed long stretches due to injury (and that is golf for chrissake!) I really don’t think things are significantly different now.

Thanks for your response, Dennis! I’m trying to compare when the US stars Dempsey, Donovan, Beasley, Bocanegra, McBride, Bradley, etc. were at their younger days playing in Europe, not after they returned to MLS. Our current young stars are in their early twenties.
Ives, I have a question and wonder if you a theory to explain, or tell me that I’m simply over sensitive on the current trend of our young 20 some-year-old USMNT stars plying their trades in Europe.
The young corps of the USMNT, Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adam, Weston McKennie, Zack Steffen, Josh Sargent, etc. get hurt quite frequently, which has become a concern for the US fans, at least to me. In my recollections, I did not notice the former US stars, Clint Dempsey, Landon Donovan, Tim Howard, Carlos Bocanegra, etc. got hurt so much and for such long periods during their playing careers.
