Julian Green was not a part of Gregg Berhalter’s November camp for the U.S. Men’s National Team, but it didn’t stop him from continuing a great season at club level with Greuther Furth.
Green scored the third and final goal for Furth in a 3-1 victory over fellow 2. Bundesliga side Regensburg on Sunday. It was a superb free kick from the midfielder, whose right-footed effort from the left wing found the top corner and iced the three points. The 25-year-old played 80 minutes for Stefan Leitl’s side, but was effective in all aspects, winning two fouls, making two interceptions, and having two shots on goal.
Beautiful free kick from Julian Green for Greuther Furth today vs. Regensberg.

With the home win, Furth move to second place in the league table, two points behind leaders Hamburg.
Tyler Adams jumped back into the RB Leipzig starting lineup on Saturday and went the distance in a 1-1 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt. Adams featured at right back for Julian Nagelsmann’s side, and completed the highest passing percentage of any player to play 45 minutes or more (93%). The 21-year-old also successfully completed two dribbles, won three fouls, and won one aerial battle in his first league match back from international duty.
Mix Diskerud continued to start for Swedish side Helsingborg and got to celebrate a goal in a 2-1 loss at Elfsborg. With his side being down 2-0 just after the hour mark, Diskerud was on the spot to pull his team to within one goal. The U.S. Men’s National Team veteran also made two interceptions and four recoveries, despite the road defeat.

Folarin Balogun and Kik Pierie are two othe recruits US Men could get.
I don’t think either of those two are coming any time soon but I’d have said the same of Musah a month ago.
Next euro camp call up Luca De La Torre and Joe Efford 24 and form has been good this season.
I think Efford probably needs to move to a better club to have a chance. He’s had a good start but his team is so bad it will be difficult to put up good enough performances to beat out other strikers. Also, when you are on the worst team in the league you probably don’t have much chance to show off your ball possession skills that 3G likes. Maybe he can do well enough to get an invite to something next Summer.Kudos to Joe though for grinding in lower Greek levels and doing well so far in Belgium.
I agree bro?.Thanks for responding!
What happened to Fabian Johnson?
He was rumored to have multiple MLS offers but nothing came close. Might be waiting for next season, did mention the US struggle with Covid in an interview this Summer so maybe that scared him off from playing this season. He also never got back to match fit at the end of last season so health might have impacted his ability to sign as well.
Was wondering about Fabian and Danny Williams
Not sure Williams hasn’t at least unofficially retired. He’s had a ton of injuries the last couple years. Couldn’t find any rumors from MLS since January and that was that his club was trying to move him but couldn’t find any takers.
I’m finding myself rooting against the teams of potential USNT players in MLS so that they may be called against El Salvador Dec 9.
——————————
I will be shocked if Busio isn’t on this Americans Abroad list in the next 12 months. He’s improved as much as anybody in the league since MLS is Back.
I would like to point out that comment was before his goal and assist. He was also kind of ball watching on the first SJ goal.
All the more reason that Ream shouldn’t be involved with the USMNT.
Gregg and Fans alike are constantly referencing players needing to be receiving regular minutes & performing with their clubs….Yet Ream is a consistent in camp.
Ream has been a regular starter in either the EPL or Championship for 8 seasons. He’s holding a place at this point for the US but if can’t start on his club in the EPL is the marker we’re going to have a pretty short list of CBs. Let’s not forget Miazga and EPB can’t even make the roster at their EPL clubs. At least CCV got in some friendlies. Plenty of opportunities for guys to stake their claim next Summer.
Players now available for December match (still not confirmed by USSF)
Jackson Yueill , Caden Clark, Kyle Duncan, Jeremy Ebobisse, Eryk Williamson, Aaron Long, Keaton Parks, Sean Johnson, Cole Bassett , Will Trapp (sigh), Jonathan Lewis, Kelyn Acosta (is it time?), JT Marcinkowski
Already available: Hamid, Mihailovic, Araujo, Lletget, Arriola, Amaya, MRob, Guzan, Alvarado, Glad
-Players eliminated next weekend would likely be available as well. Dallas media reported early in the weekend Ferreira, Tessman, and Reynolds called.
Green continues to impress with a stunner of a goal while Tim Ream get another DNP. Bring in Green and replace Ream with Palmer Brown at the next availability.
Fulham bought a CB and got another on loan, as long as those two stay healthy Ream is not going to play.
It seems to me, Ream plays a lot for Fulham, when they’re in the championship and go through promotional playoffs. Fulham is in the Premiership, again. If the pattern holds true, he’ll play less than 30 matches. If they’re relegated, they will cut payroll, and Ream will play 40 matches in the championship.
Joshua Perez made his first appearance for UD Ibiza coming on in the 66th minute. Ibiza is 5-0 on the season and is in first place of Segunda B Div 3B.
Interesting info Johnny….how far is Segunda B Div 3B from La Segunda?
It’s the third level of Spanish football. In the past its been split into 4 groups of 20, but since the 4th division didn’t finish last season it has expanded to 5 divisions of 20. Each of those 5 are then split into two groups of ten (groups are regional I guess to limit virus spread). In April they’ll start cross divisional playoffs with top teams playing for promotion, low-level teams playing to move into newly created third division and then bottom teams staying in Segunda B which will be the 4th level next season. I bet you didn’t think your question would be that difficult to answer.
Well darn…can it be any more confusing?…thanks for trying to explain. But it sounds like he’s a bit away which is sad because he was in Serie A before moving to LAFC (yes a few years ago, but still)…Well we have to hope that his team can promote quickly or he can get enough exposure to get an opportunity to play for a higher lever team…
It’s been strange, he was getting decent minutes at LAFC and then the two parted ways. He signed with Castellon before their promotion playoff last Spring (too get to Segunda), he never played for them. There was some question if he was allowed to play in the playoffs since he just joined them in June. Castellon won promotion to the Segunda but this Fall Josh was not on their roster. Then he popped up again signing with Ibiza. Ibiza made the promotion playoffs last year losing in the first round and are off to a good start so here’s hoping.
