Jorge Villafana’s late equalizer spoiled the night for LAFC, and capped a beautiful counterattacking sequence driven by Diego Valeri.

Diego Rossi may have ended the night having won the MLS Golden Boot, but he’ll have nightmare about his missed chances on Sunday, including two shots off the woodwork.

Michael Barrios had a golden chance for an early goal, only to see it cleared off the line by a last-ditch clearance by Brett Kallman. Instead of an equalizer, FC Dallas had one of several missed chances.

Match to Forget

Michael Barrios not only saw that golden chance missed, he also committed a bad turnover that led to a Minnesota United goal.

Sporting KC’s opening goal took multiple deflections and went through an RSL’s players legs for a goal that deflected the home team.

David Ochoa’s first start of the season saw him get caught off his line, and endure the most brutal of deflected goals.

The Sounders put the match to bed in the 74th minute when Raul Ruidiaz pounced after a failed touch by Florian Jungwirth sprang a lightning-fast counter and Jordan Morris put the chance away to make the score 3-1.

Florian Jungwirth committed errors leading to two of Seattle’s four goals, the kind of performance San Jose won’t be able to afford in the playoffs.
