  1. I may be in the minority but I don’t see Josh being able to thrive in the EPL. To me he needs to be set up to shoot without anyone on him. I have yet to see him show the guile or athleticism to create the separation that would be necessary to get off a good shot in the Premiership. And this Norwich team will struggle to create those kinds of clear cut chances for him. I certainly don’t like that he will be splitting time on the wing, because we need an in form striker. Not another outside player. IMO it would have been better had he gone to an Eredivisie team to get lots of touches and plenty of space to score goals and get his confidence back. I guess I just don’t think he has much more of a ceiling. Versus others like Pepi (or ideally Balogen) who do seem to have that upside..

But we will see…hopefully I am wrong.

  2. In your listing of US players in the top leagues, you forgot Yanus Musah at Valencia in La Liga. Regarding Chris Richards I just can’t imagine Bayern will keep him and just have him sit when there is at least 1 team willing to pay a good price for him. If all they need is a 4th CB, then you figure Bayern would keep some prospect rather than waste Richards when they could get a good price from Hoffenheim and then use that money to buy another player for a place of need.
As far as other NT defenders, I’d put Yedlin ahead of Moore and I’m not sold on McKenzie even as a back=up.

    • Just occurred to me what you were referring to, when I was breaking down leagues and how much interest American fans have in them. Fair point, Musah deserved a mention, though I’d still put Ligue 1 ahead of La Liga for American interest, especially if Dest goes on loan to AC Milan, which is a rumor (and just a rumor for now).
