  1. Ives great show as always. Disagree about Lledget, its got nothing to do with him being in the MLS. Acostas had that same rep and he took that respect since the nations league.

  2. Glad you mentioned the Rapids. I had noticed some results lately that seemed surprising, but hadn’t seen them until this last game. They don’t have any stars and started the recently criticized Jonathan Lewis (I have been among his biggest critics). Lewis played as the lone striker and made trouble, getting a penalty and converting it. Here is what stuck out for me. The Rapids team defense is outstanding. Frasier has them playing extremely well together. They have a very effective high press and do a great job of cutting off passing lanes. They were aided by the Galaxy playing fairly poorly. They seemed more tired than did the Rapids. Frasier seems to be an outstanding coach.

  3. I have been a fan of SBI for well over ten years. SBI was the leader for all things US Mens National Team before there were podcasts or shows dedicated to following US Mens Soccer. What is hard for me as a long time listener/ reader of this site is that the SBI show has turned into just Ives speaking by himself on this show. It’s a bit difficult listening to one view point , one voice , one way of thinking on the most recent SBI shows. Having an alternative view on a match, or someone with a different view point only helps enrich the discussion. So far on the SBI show that is not happening. The reason for stating this is not being a hater but to offer feedback to a site/show/person from a loyal fan

    • Appreciate the feedback, and I definitely don’t want the show to just be me talking, which is part of the reason I’m looking forward to rotating guests in again like before. Once things get settled the show should have a variety of guests, and soundbytes to provide a good mix of views and voices. Right now I’m just trying to establish some consistency and getting back into the rhythm of things and getting the show back to where it was before I got sick in the spring.
