Americans Abroad Weekend Rewind: (Adams, McKennie, and more)

Tyler Adams will be key for the U.S. men’s national team in World Cup Qualifiers this month and is heading into camp in strong form after his showing for RB Leipzig on Saturday.

Adams played 90 minutes in the heart of Jesse Marsch’s midfield, helping the Bundesliga side claim a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund heading into the two-week break. It was a needed performance for the hosts against one of the top clubs in the Bundesliga so far, and Adams was up for the challenge.

The 22-year-old completed a game-high four dribbles, won nine of his 14 individual duels in the match, and completed 84% of his passes. Adams was all over the field for RB Leipzig, helping the club claim a fifth league victory of the season and move them to fifth place on 18 points. After earning back-to-back starts for the club, Adams will now look to lead the USMNT to six points in its two qualifying matches over the next ten days.

In other Americans Abroad action, Weston McKennie delivered a Man of the Match performance as Juventus claimed an important Serie A victory over Fiorentina while Jordan Pefok scored a stoppage-time equalizer for Young Boys against Grasshopper.

John Brooks helped Wolfsburg earn a three-straight win in all competitions with a 1-0 triumph over Augsburg. Antonee Robinson and Fulham continued to roll in EFL Championship action with a win over Peterborough United.

Gianluca Busio was key as Venezia earned its result of the Serie A season, a 3-2 victory over AS Roma. Brenden Aaronson and Red Bull Salzburg heads into the November international break top of the Austrian Bundesliga standings.
