Juventus returns to Serie A play this week and Weston McKennie will hope to play a key role in a top-five showdown against Napoli.
McKennie has started in four of his last five overall appearances for the Bianconeri, going the distance in two of them. The U.S. men’s national team midfielder looks to be back in full fitness from his earlier injury spell in December, which has helped Juventus move up the league standings in recent weeks. Juventus has won five of its last six matches across all competitions, jumping to fifth place ahead of this week’s return to league play. A victory for Massimiliano Allegri’s side won’t boost them into the top four but would continue to put pressure on the clubs in front of them.
Elsewhere, Christian Pulisic and Chelsea face Tottenham in the semifinals of the Carabao Cup. Yunus Musah and Valencia aim to advance in Copa Del Rey play while Matthew Hoppe hopes to return to action for Mallorca. Haji Wright and Antalyaspor square off with Besiktas in the Turkish Super Cup Final, seeking a first domestic trophy since 1986.
