English Football League Championship side Birmingham City has started to turn things in the right direction and Wednesday’s 3-2 road win over West Bromwich Albion featured another strong performance from Auston Trusty.

Trusty made his ninth appearance of the league season, logging 90 minutes as the left centerback in Eustace’s 3-4-1-2 setup. The former Philadelphia Union and Colorado Rapids defender led all players with 10 duels won while also making 12 clearances and one interception. Trusty helped silence West Brom attackers Karlan Grant, John Swift, and Grady Diangana as the Blues picked up their second-consecutive road victory this season. Birmingham City is up to 14th in the second-division standings and will host Coventry City on Saturday before heading into the two-week international break.

Elsewhere in Champions League action, Weston McKennie logged 90 minutes for Juventus in a 2-1 home loss to Benfica. Gio Reyna made his first start of the season for Borussis Dortmund at Manchester City while Josh Cohen made three saves in a 3-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

In Europa League, Henry Wingo played 90 minutes as Ferencvaros picked up a 1-0 road win over AS Monaco. Jordan Pefok and Mix Diskerud also started in group stage matches for their respective clubs.
