Arsenal’s five-point lead in the English Premier League table won’t be on the line this weekend, but closest rival Manchester City has a chance to puncture the Gunners’ credibility.
England’s top two square off in the most heated head-to-head contest in the fourth round of FA Cup action on Friday to kick this weekend’s viewing options off with a must-watch match. U.S. men’s national team shot-stopper Matt Turner could meet his toughest opponent yet since joining Arsenal last summer, while the Citizens will try to add to their 76 goals scored in all competitions.
The FA Cup will also offer the opportunity for American fans to watch National League side Wrexham try for another Championship scalp in the competition. Sheffield United visits Phil Parkinson’s squad on Sunday to try and avoid an upset against the fifth-tier leaders. Brighton’s home showdown with Liverpool will also be a must-watch contest this weekend.
In Germany, the Bundesliga ranks are closer than they’ve been in years. While traditional powerhouse Bayern Munich holds the lead, they don’t have the cushion they’re accustomed to in Week 18. On the heels of a 1-1 tie with Köln, Bayern sees fourth-place Eintracht Frankfurt Saturday and will surrender the league lead with a loss.
Napoli has been the best team in all of Europe so far this season, and this week offers Jose Mourinho’s Roma a chance to bring Gli Azzurri back down to Earth in Serie A action on Sunday.
The U.S. men’s national team is set to close out the first camp of the year against Colombia on Saturday with several 2026 World Cup hopefuls looking to sign off with a positive impression.
