Rangers continued its impressive run of form in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday as Michael Beale’s squad claimed a sixth-consecutive road victory and Malik Tillman scored his first goal of February.

Tillman, the Bayern Munich loanee, celebrated his seventh goal of the season in all competitions as Rangers defeated in-form Hearts 3-0 at TyneCastle Park. The 20-year-old Tillman has now scored at least one goal in each of the past five months, continuing a positive loan spell in Glasgow.

Alfredo Morelos’ ninth-minute opening goal boosted Rangers chances in the early going before Tillman’s close-range finish doubled the visitors lead to 2-0. Connor Goldson’s headed pass was finished off by Tillman in the box, giving him his third goal away from Ibrox Stadium this season.

Morelos would pad Rangers’ advantage in the second half, just seven minutes before Tillman was replaced by Ryan Jack. Tillman won two of his six duels, made two tackles, four recoveries, and scored with his only shot on goal.

Rangers remains nine points behind league-leaders Celtic in the standings, but extended its unbeaten run to 13 matches in all competitions. Up next for Rangers is back-to-back home matches with Ross County and Partick Thistle before a trip to Livingston in mid-february.
