USMNT prospect Paulo Rudisill joins Feyenoord

Another promising U.S. men’s national team prospect is making his move to Europe.

Paulo Rudisill has joined Dutch giants Feyenoord, the club announced Friday. Rudisill will begin his life in Rotterdam with the Under-18 team after signing a two-year contract with the Eredivisie side.

“Paulo is an attacking midfielder who can play in multiple positions,” said Feyenoord academy director Rini Coolen. “He is also insightfully strong and has the right winning mentality. Despite the fact that he has only been a Feyenoord player for a short time, he has already managed to adapt to the club very quickly. It’s great to see how hard he works every day to get the most out of himself.”

Rudisill came through the LA Galaxy academy ranks before making five combined appearances with Galaxy II in the USL and MLS NEXT Pro. The 18-year-old midfielder is well known for his production with the U.S Under-17 men’s national team.

After helping the USMNT U-17’s qualify for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, Rudisill made three appearances in Indonesia.

“Ever since I was little, I hoped to be active as a footballer in Europe,” Rudisill said. “I am therefore very proud that I can now play for a big and beautiful club like Feyenoord. This is where I can continue to develop and I’m going to do everything I can to make it to Feyenoord 1 one day.”

Rudisill officially made his debut for Robin Van Persie’s squad last week against FC Groningen.

    • We are hearing about this now but the article doesn’t give any specific information about the contract PR signed. Things like when it was signed, what kind of contract, etc. etc.

Maybe Feyenoord had the transaction handled by professionals.

      You never know.
