Bryan Reynolds’ absence from U.S. men’s national team duty this summer has certainly been used as motivation in Belgium.
Reynolds assisted once on Saturday as Westerlo earned a 4-2 win over Mechelen. The former FC Dallas homegrown logged 90 minutes as Westerlo made it a perfect two wins out of two to begin its league schedule. In addition to his impact on the offensive end, Reynolds also won seven individual duels, completed both of his tackle attempts, and made seven recoveries.
The 23-year-old now has 70 appearances under his belt in Belgium and remains linked with a potential move elsewhere this summer. Westerlo would regret letting Reynolds walk this summer, especially after a positive start to the 2024-25 season.
Elsewhere, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Celtic earned three points in their season opener. Malik Tillman, Ricardo Pepi and PSV lost the Dutch Super Cup to Feyenoord.

Yeah he should ask for a transfer now.
