A pair of U.S. men’s national team midfielders on opposite ends of the Serie A table will meet in Turin on Saturday evening.
Weston McKennie and Juventus welcomes Gianluca Busio and Venezia to town. McKennie is fresh from midweek UEFA Champions League action after previously missing the last three matches due to muscle fatigue. The 25-year-old scored his second UCL goal of the season and third overall, enjoying a positive return to competition action.
Busio and Venezia sit last in the Serie A table on nine points. The promoted club have struggled for consistency this fall, losing four of their last five and overall and winning just two matches this season. The former Sporting KC homegrown has featured in 12 matches this season, scoring one goal and logging just under 1,000 minutes of playing time.
