Americans Abroad Weekend Rewind: Robinson, Vazquez, and more

Fulham extended its current point streak to three matches after holding off London rivals Arsenal for a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.

Antonee Robinson’s large role at left back continued with the U.S. men’s national team defender logging his latest 90 minutes. Robinson did well to limit Gunners attacker Bukayo Saka throughout the match, winning eight duels, making three interceptions, and seven defensive recoveries.

The 27-year-old has helped Fulham take points from Tottenham, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Arsenal in the last two weeks. Marco Silva’s men have climbed to 10th place in the Premier League standings, sitting four points out of the top four.

Fulham will next travel to league-leaders Liverpool on December 14, continuing a busy stretch of matches.

  1. What’s going on with Taylor Booth? Just a season ago he was developing really well and consistently one of the better(younger)players in the Eredivisie. I remember him having some injuries here and there towards the end of that season, and then he rarely played at the Olympics. Have those injuries stalled his development, because he’s not really playing much now?

  2. Good job to the PSV crew. Ledezma hopefully will 🙏 stay healthy and be called up against Panama. Hope Dest will be back soon. I really miss his flair and his speed at RB. Scally good too just would rather see him and he is better in a 3 man backline.

        Knee injuries are tricky.
The knee might 100% healed physically by the end of January but Dest having 100% confidence in his knee? Who knows how long that will take?

      • V: yes for sure some guys like Terrance Boyd and Josh Gatt never get fully back. I couldn’t tell from the article either if late Jan was goal for individual workouts on grass or to be back training with the team. Just trying to give our friend Striker a general timeline. March might be a bit early for Serge. Given that Serge is one of the most confident humans on the planet I wouldn’t bet against him either.
