The 2024-25 FA Cup third round will officially kick off in one month’s time.
Several U.S. men’s national team players are expected to feature in the third round after learning their opponents for January’s schedule. Antonee Robinson, Tyler Adams, and Haji Wright are just three players in the current USMNT pool that will be seeking to feature in the historic competition.
Josh Sargent, Brenden Aaronson, and Chris Richards will also aim to feature in the third round.
Matt Turner and Ethan Horvath, who have had limited opportunities this fall, could be called on to start for their respective clubs.
Here is a roundup of the FA Cup third round draw involving each American player:
Antonee Robinson and Fulham will welcome Watford to Craven Cottage. It will mark the first head-to-head meeting between the two clubs since April 2019.
Josh Sargent and Norwich City face off with Brighton & Hove Albion at Carrow Road. The two clubs last met in April 2022.
Brenden Aaronson and Leeds United face Harrogate Town at Elland Road. The two clubs met in friendly action last summer.
Matt Turner, Chris Richards and Crystal Palace host Stockport County in the first meeting since January 2002.
Haji Wright and Coventry City host Sheffield Wednesday for the second-straight year. Wright scored in the 4-1 replay victory last February.
Tyler Adams and Bournemouth welcome West Bromwich Albion to the Vitality Stadium for the first time since 2021.
Aidan Morris and Middlesbrough host Blackburn Rovers in an All-Championship affair. Middlesbrough hasn’t defeated Blackburn at home since 2012.
Ethan Horvath and Cardiff City visit Sheffield United seeking their first head-to-head win at Bramall Lane since 2011.
Lynden Gooch will visit his former club as Stoke City visits Sunderland. Gooch featured in both league meetings with the Black Cats last season.
Duane Holmes and Preston North End host League One side Charlton Athletic. Preston swept Charlton in the season series back in the 2019-20 Championship campaign.
Luca Koleosho and Burnley take on Reading seeking their first road win against the Royals since 2009.

Can we talk about Frank Lampard is now Haji Wright’s manager?
It would be hard for Wright to be any more vital to Coventry than he already is.
We know Frank pushed Pulisic to score more and set him up that way. I think he thought that CP needed to take a leaf out of Hazard’s book and add more consistent production of goals and assists. CP did enough to earn himself the #10 shirt from Frank before the roof fell in. And the player that Frank wanted to see CP become is the guy you now see at Milan.
That said, I don’t see what Frank can do at Coventry that Robins couldn’t. And I don’t see Wright as having anywhere near the kind of ceiling that CP did. Wright picked a bad time to get hurt. Unless Frank can get them into the EPL, I don’t see Frank being significantly better for Wright than Robins was.
