Matt Turner registered a four-save clean sheet in the Eagles’ 2-0 road win over Doncaster Rovers while Chris Richards logged 90 minutes in defense. The result marked Turner’s second-consecutive clean sheet in the competition.
Daniel Munoz broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute for Oliver Glasner’s men before Justin Devenny extended Crystal Palace’s advantage 10 minutes into the second half.
Ethan Ennis and Billy Sharp were denied by Turner in the first half.
Sharp was denied a second time by Turner after the interval before Owen Bailey’s 81st minute effort was also repelled.
Turner, 30, has now made three starts for Crystal Palace this season, all of which have come in cup competitions.
Richards made two tackles and won four duels as the Eagles advanced to face London rivals Millwall in March’s Round of 16.
Crystal Palace will resume its Premier League schedule on Saturday at Selhurst Park against Everton.
