Ugh. That makes me ill. I still can’t forgive our FO for letting him go.
Happy for Seba… but still weird to watch him doing so well for another team.
So Manchester United & Inter Milan remain dominant & provided attractive football, & Man City & AC Milan are still difficult to watch. More of the same.
This Buffalo team is excellent. Another great goal: 2-1
I am watching the W-league final and just saw one of the best goals of the day. Buffalo scored an equalizer that looks like the 4th Brazil goal against Italy in the 1970 WC. Way to go Buffalo.
I like what NY did throughout the game but I thought they lacked urgency on attack in the last 20 minutes or so. It looked like they were protecting their 2-1 lead and didn’t go for the extra goal for security, although, they had the chance to do so. It came back to hurt them with the equalizer that made it look like a loss.
not much you can do about a pitch invasion, unless you want to put a huge fence around the field, a la argentina
Sorry for typos… was on a cell phone in a sudden rain shower.
Wow NYRB is gonna being a problem for the rest of the year….. there were so many flashes….
ALL of the TEAMS in MLS better start thanking NYRB because MLS is def gonna get an improved TV contract
of a position*
Well unless he has a really short torso, her head is not in that awkward position.
Unfortunate that Henry’s first game is marred by terrible officiating favoring Houston.
Also…. Henry was just attacked at center circle by fans. Fire your security Houston.
The official is handing NY yellow cards like candy.
…and he’s OLD. imagine what he was like when he was in his “prime”.
zoikes, scoob
Becoming? Son, he already is.
As a Philly fan but someone who’s player goal, I have to say that yeah, I’m losing my patience with Seitz. He’s got talent and a bright future to be sure, but there are only so many games where you cost your team 2 or 3 points due to soft goals before it gets in your head and it forces your coach to look for other options. Manuel Almunia aside, when top flight keepers make those mistakes they get benched or traded pretty quickly.
I say one more unsteady performance and both he and Arrieta should keep a bag packed by the front door.
Henry is a cheetah, good lord.
Also, Dane Richards is not the brightest soccer player out there huh?
Henry is pretty much telling the ref what a moron he is. Geez, MLS needs better officials.
Either the Houston defense is giving too much respect for Henry or he’s just that good dribbling past people and runnning half the field unchallenged.
Very fun game. Don’t fault Houston for not stopping play before the first penalty although I can call them scumbags for it. Thought the ref should have stopped it. Odd red card. That penalty miss made me happy.
Oh and…HENRY HENRY HENRY
That long-range Lindpere shot is coming
I am Dynamo fan thru and thru, but Lovell made contact with Mendes’ leg. Despite that I think it was a yellow, and not a red. That was brash.
Wow. This ref is struggling. First he missed what maybe should have been a whistle if not a card against Houston in the buildup to their penalty goal…and then this straight red for a shoulder challenge?
Straight Red??? Two penalties…Henry has to get used to the MLS referees
Henry has missed a breakaway and an absolute sitter. This makes me happy.
Nice Henry!!!! First good chance by yourelf and you completely miss it!
Henry getting the France finishing out of him. AGHHHH.
Um, I thought Henry was a goal-scoring striker! What happened?!
I would like to hear insight from him, and I just hear a play by play of what I see on the replay.
That and his staccato, yet monotone, vocal patterns stir epileptic seizures in me.
I’m much better now, thanks.
Union didn’t dominate that game, in fact both teams had 10 shots and 6 shots on goal and possession was about 50/50.
I can’t blame Chris Seitz for that goal, if you saw the side view the ball took a very odd bounce, it must have hit a bump or something.
Nevertheless Marko Perovic who has scored 4 goals and 1 assist in the last 5 games is playing like a star.
Always puzzles me why people don’t like Shep. Other than the thick Bronx accent, I find him a pretty good commentator.
YESSSS! Henry to Angel. Love it!
Henry to Angel. Predict we hear that fairly often the rest of the year.
Thanks, Tim and RLW
Ahh, Shep Messing gives me such a warm feeling in my arms…
wait, that’s the blood flowing from my wrists.
are you an insider? 1 out of 2 so far
