Dwayne De Rosario reminded everyone on Saturday that he still has plenty left in his tank.
De Rosario scored two top-notch goals and turned in a strong overall performance to lead D.C. to an important 2-0 victory at San Jose over the weekend, earning SBI MLS Player of the Week honors.
The D.C. midfielder took advantage of his former teammate, Nana Attakora, slipping and falling to score his first goal. He got in behind the defense and laced a shot from the edge of the area by Jon Busch to open the scoring. For his second goal, he received a pass from Chris Pontius in the box and one-timed it into the upper right-hand corner with a right-footed shot to double United's lead.
Other standouts this past week included two-goal scorers Landon Donovan and Brian Ching, Columbus' Robbie Rogers and the Toronto FC tandem of Danny Koevermans and Joao Plata.
Who was your player of the week? What did you think of De Rosario's performance?

Has DeRo become disgruntled with DCU?
And they traded him for the invisible McCarty…I still don’t get that move
no way…De Ro’s signature dance is classic MLS.
His pk to tie that match with Portland when he was with RBNY was epic.
Good grief he needs to retire that mother-luvin’ dance. Liked it at first, so painfully tired now. Just seeing that picture ruined my mood for the next ten minutes. I would rather he never scores another goal than subjects the world to that abomination one more time.
Congrats DeRo, you shredded a decimated Quakes defense.
BTW your dance has lost some luster over the years.
Sweet 2nd finish though.
you’re out of your mind. Donovan DOMINATED
