Rosenborg BK jumped into the top spot of Eliteserien on Friday with a big victory over Haugesund, and Mix Diskerud contributed to the fun by netting his first league goal for the club.
Diskerud capped the scoring in Rosenborg's 5-2 win over Haugesund on Friday, sliding in from close range to redirect a low cross in the 88th minute of the match. The goal was Diskerud's second across all competitions since joining the club this past summer, as he also tallied an all-important goal in the Europa League play-off round last month.
Rosenborg's win now gives them 46 points on the season, just one more than second-place Moldke FK, who still have yet to play this weekend. The Eliteserien champions earn a berth for next season's Champions League qualifiers, while the runner-up goes straight into the 2013-2014 Europa League.
You can see Diskerud's goal here at the 4:29 mark.
What do you think of Diskerud's finish? Do you see Rosenborg winning the Eliteserien title this year? Think Diskerud should will earn a U.S. call-up in the near future?

Imagine Bradley + Mix
He only played a few games in Belgium — and started 1 maybe 2. He did notch an assist there.
I agree get Torres out of there and throw Mix in.
Gyau has only just played his first game in the first team, ever. Come on.
I Agree about the call up comment though.
That has zero credence or relevance. It obvious when you click the link that is not a video player you can embed easily.
All true but the topic was Mix compared to Torres.
I have a feeling that if Kinski doesn’t call him sooner or later & Norway comes calling, he’ll take it especially on how he is playing, very good soccer right now
don’t get why Mix, GATT (injured) and Guayu have not been capped yet. This is an easy qualifier coming up next. Good time to cap maybe one or two young guys with some vet experience. Sub them in the 2nd half….just saying.
Bad timing — missed a bunch of time early on for the U-23 tournament, probably took him some time to recover fully afterward, etc.
Michael Bradley can do anything Jose Torres can. Torres can barely handle being pressed. He needs to move leagues and he needs to lose his spot for now.
No clue
Why was Belgium so disappointing?
Mix and Torres play different roles.
In his ideal role for the USMNT JK sees Torres as a ball circulator, a time keeper so to speak.
Mix is more of an attacking midfielder.
If it would have been an all-amazing Jozy penalty, then we’d have an embedded video. Way to go Mix; time for a call up.
Mix will get a January callup but I would’t mind seeing him in October over Jose freaking Torres.
