Jake G is great. Watch Jarhead or End of Watch
Why insult Deuce with having Jake G play him ??
i agree–it seems that, if it’s too close too call, then the linesman will raise his flag, when really, it should be the other way around.
it there a FIFA rule on this (where the attacker and defender are level)?
agree
Agreed. Under.
I think AVB is overrated as a manager. The team he had at Porto had tons and tons of talent. The guy had Falcao and Hulk as his forwards. Falcao has played out of his mind the last 2.5 years. He destroyed Chile in Chile and beat the crap of Uruguay in the most recent qualifying matches.
I agree Dempsey should have stayed on. Why didn’t Adebayor make the bench? I know he is one some express fitness program because of Man City being dicks and not letting him train in the offseason, but the big man in the last 15 minutes along Dempsey could have put some serious pressure on Lazio. I just the AVB is overwhelmed in the EPL. He maybe smart and have some good schemes but the Porto situation was the result of an extraordinary lineup from front to back and a good scheme to go with the talent.
I thought Clint looked good. Lot of young talent on Tottenham, but he showed quite clearly that he belongs. And as soon is he came off and Sigurdson entered the game, Tottenham’s offense dropped a few notches. Stupid of AVB to pull Clint, who was involved in most of tottenham’s scoring opportunities, with the game tied and 15 minutes to go. Clint did not look happy to be leaving the field.
Aaaand Bale is hurt again – it just gets worse and worse for Spurs.
Referees and linesmen should always err on the side of allowing the goal. Goals are the lifeblood of the game. That’s what fans pay to see. Consistently disallowing goals like this is absurd. If you’re going to wipe out a goal, you better be damn sure that you’re correct, but that standard doesn’t seem to apply here.
dempsey coming off for sigurdsson after 75 minutes
Another Spurs goal disallowed??? Looked like yet another bad call, no? This is getting ridiculous
comedy of errors by the ref now
Klose gets away with pass interference on Clint in the end zone, then Another disallowed goal on something you see all the time
sometimes you can tell what an officiating crew wants to see. perhaps this is one of those games
Tottenham should definitely be ahead in this game. Another poorly disallowed goal.
You trollin or did you miss the whole story earlier this month? if the latter, then search backwards thru the Ives archives and you’ll see 3 or 4 posts here about the Dempsey transfer saga.
I thought Clint was Going to play Champions League. What happened?
looked on that is
looked o
almost poetic that Clint’s first goal for Spurs is disallowed, always the hard way for Clint it seems 🙂
Looks like Clint is going to fit in with Spurs just fine… he looks like he already has some decent chemistry and more to come.
nice
Friedel would have not only saved that shot off the bar, he would have caught it with his teeth.
Tough break when it would help his cause immensely in the initial fight for playing time.
Spurs’ pace and guile too much for Lazio.
With the benefit of pausing live action right at the moment of the pass, he appears barely onside, but given that he and the defender were headed in opposite directions at pace, you can see how the linesman would have called him off.
Deuce has drawn 2 dangerous set pieces
Looked even with the last defender to me. Tough call for the linesman though.
Wow! Deuce disallowed goal looked very onside to me. Anyone else?
Dempsey just a toe offside it looked to me. Tough call, though.
Awwwhhhhh Dempsey may have been off by an arm hair on that one that.
dempsey with a goal on a diving header! but incorrectly called offside
too heart-throbby. Noone comes to mind but we’d need tough as old jerky sort of actor. if the movie happened and gyllenhall got it the whole US soccer world would be up in arms.
30 million wouldnt do it well with locations being in england and needing a stadium full of extras. But Im no expert.
Dempsey is playing mid with dembele as withdrawn striker behind defoe.
Looks like Cliny is playing right behind Defoe. damn if i had 30million id do a film on Clint’s life starring Jake Gyllenhaal
shelvey who is a premiership sub comes in for 20 mins shows the world what class is.
Interesting. I would unhappily take the under on that one. I just don’t know if he gets enough time in the Prem. But it’s a great thing to consider.
What’s tottenhams formation and where is Dempsey starting?
If healthy, I predict Dempsey scoring 15 goals this season. 2 in the cups, 3 in the EL and 10 in the PL.
any bets?
Crap what to watch? Dempsey’s first start? or a Mix/Boyd match-up? Tough call.
Great win for the Reds. They’ve been crap for 2 years but glad to see a win
Spurs win 3-2. Dempsey hat trick with two weak goals from Lazio.
Dempsey is starting today
do you guys think Lloris will be able to start this weekend or does Friedel have the PL on lockdown?
Watching thwe liverpool youth league play a team they should beat but keep letting in the game is sort of like just watching the senior team play.
Suso looks great but doesnt know what to do with the ball after all the various dribbling practice tricks. This Wisdom kid maybe solid but he needs to go out on loan in the championship pronto. Pacheco I didnt even notice him in this game.
Downing and Enrique this whole game sums up there whole liverpool careers.
