Everton and Liverpool are fierce rivals, but the neighbors share a unique bond not fond among all rivals. That much was evident on Monday, when Everton paid tribute to the victims of the Hillsborough tragedy before Monday's match at Goodison Park against Newcastle.
Here is the tribute:
Classy. Very nice.
As opposed to when Suarez racially abuses people, or when ownership overspends on useless players like Carroll, Downing, and Adam, or when they put in a lowball offer for Dempsey, or when they don’t bring in the necessary players in the transfer window?
Brilliant. Always supported Liverpool but always respected Everton, even more so after having been to the city.
I’m sorry, but what is that supposed to mean?
Sorry your feelings got hurt but the truth generally does that to people.
Proud to support this club…
Just wow. Simply human and beautiful.
Unbelievable human compassion. Bravo!
Shut up. Just when everyones united here comes this jerk. “Yeah Liverpool fans arent class like this” just be quiet. Im amazed you didnt choke on calling a tribute class then directly showing your lack thereof.
well done, Blues. This is one of the best parts of the sport–organized fan displays and tributes. So glad US fans are getting hip to it in larger numbers and moving beyond “we only chant U-S-A” mentality.
Seriously?
Not great, but nice to see a tribute
This is what sportsmanship is all about.
Ironically, Liverpool supporters should take note and observe what true class really is.
What formation does AZ Alkamaar play?
Pure class
Wow. Goosebumps. What a great tribute
