Leo Messi may have grabbed most of the headlines this past weekend, but Radamel Falcao was not too far behind.
Falcao continued to prove why he is currently one of the best strikers in the world, scoring an astounding five goals in Atletico Madrid’s 6-0 thrashing of Deportivo La Coruna. Falcao did not net the winner, but he scored five straight goals for second-place Atletico to up his league total this season to 16.
Making the Colombian international’s five-goal performance even more impressive was the manner in which the goals came, as Falcao did not score off of simple tap-ins. Rather, he scored in diverse ways, including on a diving header and a perfectly-hit volley.
If you missed Falcao’s goals or just want to see them again, here they are:

Rock me Amadeus!
colombia, finally, will be back to the world cup next year….
Beast mode.
Cant sell him in the middle of this season when hes such a huge part of their offense… Unless someone bids 50 million and they have another striker or 2 who they think can atleast pick up some of the slack.
Colombia has a pretty good team right now heading into WC 2014.
they always have a good team and under perform. its not him so much i think James Rodrigues and Jackson Martizen have to show up.
They’ve had talent in the past bu always sabotage themselves with internal issues.
What a striker tandem they could have with Falcao and…uh…Pajoy.
