U.S. Women’s National Team hero Hope Solo will be out for three to four months following surgery to her repair cartilage in her left wrist.
Initially, Solo had been projected to return in just eight weeks, but U.S. Soccer today announced that her recovery timetable will be significantly longer.
Solo will miss at least half of the season for the Seattle Reign, in their first season of the National Women’s Soccer League, and will miss out on international friendlies this spring against Sweden, Germany, and Holland. Solo had already been ruled out of the Algarve Cup.
The Richland, Washington native is second all-time in caps, wins, and shutouts among goalies for the US Women’s National Team, behind long-time stopper Brianna Scurry, whom Solo replaced in 2008. Since then, Solo has played every minute of the 2008 and 2012 Olympic tournaments, as well as every minute of the 2011 Women’s World Cup.

Not a good month for US keepers
Evidently not a good thread for discussion either. I can’t believe there was just an exchange about nipples.
You can see hope solo’s nipples.
Yes my brother, women, just like us men – they have nipples.
Who knew?
Women hate when people can see their nipples, however men like it just fine. It’s always nice when attractive women like to play competitive sports.
It’s cool. W have Brad Guzan to replace her.
Oh wait…
