André Villas-Boas will be looking for his first victory against his former club on Saturday morning, when Tottenham welcome Chelsea to White Hart Lane.
The Portuguese manager has earned a point in two meetings against Chelsea since taking over at Tottenham, but he will be hoping an improved side from last year will manifest into three points come Saturday. The match also marks the first time Villas-Boas will face his former mentor Jose Mourinho on the touchline, a meeting he will surely relish come kickoff.
On Sunday, Roma will attempt to stay perfect on the season when they host Bologna. Roma have managed to take max points from their first five matches of the season, while their adversaries this weekend sit just a point above the drop zone. The start to Bologna’s season has been the complete opposite of Roma’s, but they will love the opportunity to hand The Wolves their first defeat of the season.

Is anyone else getting annoyed that NBC’s live feed is terrible? How many times during a match is the image going to freeze of go completely black? This is getting really old.
No soccer on Gol after the Friday game????
Portland – Galaxy is on NBC proper, not NBCSN. It’s too bad that this game is not on Saturday. I could then definitely see 700-800k with EPL lead-in
Too bad it isn’t TONIGHT. I’m in freaking Portland at the moment and would love to see it. Damn my timing.
nice, is that 3 derbies for the wkend?
chivas v. atlas, torino v. juve, atlet vs madrid. Does chelsea v. hotspurs count?
1) No 10 AM game on Saturday NBC Sports Network? Odd.
2) ESPN finally airs a MLS game and it comes on at the same time as Breaking Bad finale. Ugh. Yea yea, I know.. DVR.. but I don’t wanna!
AV vs City is on NBC SN at 10am
Sunday:
Porterland – LA
then
Seattle – NY
Doesn’t get much better than that.
Swans and Gunners on network television. Awesome.
Vela have an American serviceman as a father?
(jokes)
wrong thread, dope.
Interesting thing about Roma; they seem to be doing better without Osvaldo and Lamela. I thought their attack would suffer greatly.
Maicon is back to looking like he was when with Inter, not that terrible Man City Maicon.
Fail as usual. Villa and Citeh are on NBC Sports Network and Southampton v. Crystal Palace are on Live Extra.
Yeah, If you’re interested in the English games, just use this: NBC Game Finder. And the TV channels are called Premier League Extra Time, not NBC Sports Live Extra. It’s not that confusing, although, this writer (read: compiler of TV schedules) doesn’t get it.
ESPN still has MLS games….they seem not to care too much about advertising the games.
Shame NBC gots so distracted, they did a good job with MLS ( still sort of do I guess )
ESPN, no, but like a kids soccer game, we appreciate the effort.
