Considering Robert Lewandowski’s form when he plays in London, he might want to consider a move to the Premier League next summer.
The Polish striker, who scored for Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League final defeat last season at Wembley, fired home the winner at the Emirates Stadium with eight minutes remaining to defeat Arsenal, 2-1. Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the German side’s first in the 16th minute before Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud equalized off a mistake in front of goal in the 41st minute.
Lewandowski however arrived at the back post on a cross from winger Kevin Grosskreutz in the 82nd minute and smashed home to bring the three points back to Dortmund and put the top of Group F into a three-way tie, as Arsenal, Napoli, and BVB all have six points from three games.
Though Lionel Messi scored for the first time since late September after missing the last three weeks due to injury, Barcelona wasn’t able to find their second wind as they were held to a 1-1 draw at the San Siro against AC Milan. Robinho looked solid early and scored inside ten minutes for the hosts but the real story was the play of Kaka, who looked at times like the world beater he once was in Italy.
Chelsea forward Fernando Torres scored in the 5th minute and Jose Mourinho’s side didn’t look back as they added two more goals in the second half for good measure to take down FC Schalke on the road. Chelsea have now scored 14 goals in their last four games.
Here’s a full rundown of Tuesday’s results:
Group E
FC Schalke 0-3 Chelsea
Steaua Bucharest 1-1 FC Basel
Group F
Marseille 1-2 Napoli
Arsenal 1-2 Borussia Dortmund
Group G
Austria Wien 0-3 Atletico Madrid
Porto 0-1 Zenit St. Petersburg

mexico is failing in europe too! As Icona Pop would say I LOVE IT!
Those 2 yellows were pretty excellent. 2nd one was dumb but I can say he didn’t earn it.
Doing that on a free-kick you caused? All you have to do is find a Ref in a bad mood.
Writer didn’t watch that Barcelona game. Didn’t find their second wind? Barcelona dominated AC Milan to the point that the annoying commentators wouldn’t stop talking about it.
And being held to a draw is an odd way of phrasing it as AC Milan was the home team and are a quality international side.
Lewandowski!

I’m sorry if I’m mistaken, but Lewandowski didn’t score in the Champions League Final, Gundogan did I thought.
Sorry to be neat picking, I was just making sure.
Definitely Gundogan who scored
Sorry to nit pick, but it’s “nit” picking.
I hope one day fox actually starts to televise the games people want to see. The milan/barca i get but ajax/celtic is a game few wanted to see.
Bhoys did well today. Barca looked strong in their tie, IMO. Didn’t Arsenal try to sign Lewandowski or was that another BPL team?
