Last Wednesday, the Vancouver Whitecaps not only kept their playoff chances alive with a superb 4-1 victory at the Seattle Sounders, but forward Kekuta Manneh wrote his name into the record books.
The 18-year-old Gambian became the youngest player in Major League Soccer history to score a hat-trick when he bagged three goals in 54 minutes to lead the Whitecaps to victory on the road. Manneh’s performance made him an easy selection for SBI MLS Player of the Week.
Manneh beat out Jose Goncalves, Mike Magee, and Kalif Alhassan for this week’s honors.
What did you think of Manneh’s performance? Which player stood out to you in MLS Week 34?

Saw him play for the Aztex, and think that Houston Dynamo let a local young player get away.
Went to high school in Austin, TX and played for the Austin Aztex along with Dillon Powers and Blake Smith tore it up last year. All three doing their thing in MLS now. Way to represtent Austin Kekuta.
Is this guy eligible for the USMNT? I saw that he was adopted by american parents before he turned 18. Speed kills!
I’m glad young players like this are playing in MLS.
