If you are anxiously awaiting the USMNT-Scotland match, and want to discuss it and all things U.S. Men’s National Team, then I have the place for you.
Join me over at Goal.com, where I will be hosting a live chat from 12:30 p.m. until about 1:30 p.m. ET. I will be taking reader questions on today’s match, and all things USMNT.
You can join the Live Chat here.
See you there.
Listen folks, I get that Goal.com has a reputation, but part of the reason I was hired by them was to help that reputation. I think I can help do that and I think the site is much better than it used to be, and was already heading that way before I joined. There’s a reason I was willing to join.
Now, this was just a pre-game live chat. It wasn’t meant in any way to replace the SBI Live Q&A. They’re two totally different things. I’ve never done pre-game chats before so I’m not sure why people would jump to the conclusion that we’ll stop having Q&As on SBI. Those will continue.
Ideally, SBI readers are also heading over to Goal to read the stories/features/columns I write over there, and also join the live chats. The more people reading both sites, the better it is for me and for SBI.
Thanks for addressing this Ives. It was a little confusing as to why we were redirected somewhere else for live commentary, but this explanation makes sense. I think I speak for everyone here when I say: We want SBI to stay active and not be replaced by Goal.com 🙂
No JAB or Johannsson? No Lichaj?
so I can read a bunch of non-sensical bs written by some 13 year old punk. no thanks
Huh?
Ives, it is a common belief on THIS site that the comment sections on Goal.com are trash and full of trolls. It is nearly impossible to have a constructive conversation via the comment section. THAT is the one major reason we all gravitated to your site. Respectful & educated discourse. To use an analogy, you are forcing a bunch of college seniors to go sit in a middle school lunch room and have constructed, meaningful conversations.
I think he’s saying that live chats are populated by 13 year old punks, and what they say is non-sensical bs.
I think what we’re dealing with here is an old, angry eurosnob with too much time on his hands so he trolls comment boards to post his negative bias.
Brother chill, get away from the keyboard, and have a drink. Get a grip on yourself.
go euro is referring to the the completely inane, pathetically juvenile “commentary” found on goal.com boards.
yeah, a big part of the reason i like sbi is the community. i go over to goal now to read ives’ articles. i can handle that, but the community over there is along the same lines as any other web board. if the Q&A & commentaries eventually get moved over to goal that’d be sad.
