An exciting weekend of soccer around the globe culminates in one of England’s most historic venue.
Stamford Bridge plays host on Sunday the second encounter this season between Chelsea and Manchester United. While they may not have played soccer that’s as pleasing to the eye as in the past, Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea have improved their defensive record recently with only one goal conceded in their last six games.
Man United on the other hand have struggled under David Moyes to develop any consistency and sit in seventh place in the English Premier League standings. Sunday’s match could really show just how far Man United have fallen.
If English soccer doesn’t suit you, this weekend holds high-profile matches in Spain (Atletico Madrid vs. Sevilla), the Netherlands (Ajax vs. PSV Eindhoven), Mexico (Club America vs. Club Leon), and France (Lille vs. Saint-Etienne).
And if you’re interested in seeing a barrage of goals scored, high-powered Real Madrid face last-place Real Betis in La Liga action on Saturday.
