Some much-needed offensive help looks to be on the way to Chivas USA.
Free agent English Luke Moore is set to sign with Chivas USA after spending last season with Turkish club Elazigspor, according to a report from the Birmingham Mail. The 27-year-old striker, who did not find the back of the net in 13 appearances last season, has previously played for Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and other English clubs.
The Goats are in need of some firepower up front after a dismal 2013 season that saw them score 30 goals, tied for second-fewest in the league.
If signed, Moore will join a staple of forwards that includes Erick Torres and the recently-acquired Adolfo ‘Bofo’ Bautista.

What do you think of Moore reportedly signing with Chivas USA? Like the move? Hoping the club brings more attacking talent?

“The 27-year-old striker, who did not find the back of the net in 13 appearances last season, has previously played for Swansea City, West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and other English clubs.”
So Chivas USA signs another striker who can’t score (cf, Adolfo Bautista). What, exactly, is the point?
When the jelly did play against the Quakes.
I really wish this guy’s name was English Luke Moore. I’m guessing Franco couldn’t be bothered to proofread his voluminous report, but wouldn’t it be awesome if the guy’s name was English?
Welcome to LA English. You’ll be a fine addition to our staple of forwards.
Stellar!
but he is black not mexican.
Wait, what?
Toronto gets DeFoe, DC gets EJ and Chivas gets … Luke Moore?
His resumé matches that of Eddie Johnson when he was stinking it up in the lower leagues of Europe.. Maybe this guy can resurrect his career in MLS and demand a higher paycheck just like the Grown Ass Man.
How many forwards are in a staple?
hahaha
What is with the negativity of these comments?
27 year old player who has bounced around three levels of English soccer plus Turkey, playing maybe half the time and scoring usually something like 5 goals a season (top count, 8). Pro for a decade and has 34 goals playing as a forward.
Aw man I thought he had a dyed mohawk, but it was just the guy in the back’s hair.
So, a plain unremarkable player :/
I totally thought that was his hair!
are chivas usa the scapegoat of the league 🙂
everybody blame chivas usa 🙂
obama we need your exclusionary rule 🙂
I can’t wait till the reality of MLS hits him. BUST!!!! I’m calling it early
Chivas has a great track record in that regard.
If sh*t striker signs with Chivas USA and nobody cares about it, did it really happen?
I think the scenario you pose of a billygoat football striker is related to one of the deep philosophical quandries of early 20th century thought. I can you tell you what philosophers Berkeley, Russell, and George Moore say on the issue, but I think the more important existential issue is whether the billygoats should even exist. I for one am in all favor of keeping them in the hypothetical category: what would happen if a corrupt yet powerful latin american team were to set up shop in the US? Thank god MLS doesnt have to deal with that.
Hey yo, Ives! Post the Agudelo video so everyone can see how boss my boy is.
That game isn’t even over yet. =/
Very upset the match wasn’t on Gol TV. Anybody catch the goal?

hope this works
Pretty damn impressive goal !!!
BUT DOES HE SPEAK GOOD SPANISH?
ENGLISH PEOPLE LOVE SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGES!
lol. it’s the weakness of the ANGLO world. we helped contribute to a world where we don’t necessarily need to speak any other language
The all caps randoms are funny when Frank does it, but let’s not get everyone copycatting. Then it just ruins it.
Amen to that
It’s lame when anyone does it.
