A Mexican team will be crowned Apertura champion this weekend, but one team could take a huge step towards that title on Thursday night.

The first leg of the Liguilla finals kicks off tonight at Estadio Universitario, and all eyes will be on Tigres UANL and Pumas UNAM.

Out of all the Mexican sides, the visitors have been the better attacking team this campaign, but Tigres has the talent to win the finals as well. Midfielder Guido Pizarro, as well as forward André-Pierre Gignac, should lead the charge for the home side during the series.

Across the pond, the UEFA Europa League group stage comes to an end, and there are many clubs that still have work to do if they want to advance to the round of 32. AS Monaco is one of those teams that will miss out if it doesn’t find a win against English Premier League side Tottenham.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Women’s National Team continues its Victory Tour with a game against Trinidad & Tobago in the evening.
