Following Olympic qualification, the U.S. Women’s National Team is set for a Women’s World Cup rematch this spring.

U.S. Soccer announced on Tuesday that the USWNT will face Colombia on April 6 at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, Conn. The matchup serves as a rematch from last summer’s Women’s World Cup round of 16 clash, which the U.S. won, 2-0, on finishes from Alex Morgan and Carli Lloyd.

Colombia is currently ranked 25th in the world and has already qualified for this summer’s Olympics.

“These games are not just great for the fans to see quality teams, but are critical for our team to be challenged by different styles from nations outside our region,” said U.S. head coach Jill Ellis in a release. “Colombia is representative of the continued growth of the women’s game world-wide and we are very much looking forward to hosting them in April.”

The clash will be the fourth in the history of the two teams, who have only met in official competition prior to April’s friendly.

Following Monday night’s lopsided victory over Puerto Rico, the U.S. is set for the semifinals of CONCACAF Olympic qualifying on Friday in Houston.

What do you think of the friendly? What do you expect from the USWNT?
