Brooks played all 90 minutes and maintained a clean sheet as Hertha toppled Fabian Johnson and 10-man Borussia Monchengladbach. Brooks and co. held on to their second shutout in three games while riding a Salomon Kalou hat-trick to a 3-0 win.

Jerome Kieswetter was the only other American to go 90 minutes, playing a full match in a lopsided loss to Dynamo Dresden.

Michael Orozco also earned an extended runout with Tijuana, but it came in a 1-0 loss to Tigres. Tim Ream, meanwhile, entered late in a 2-0 win over Brentford.
