If you thought the European soccer season was over, think again.
Yes, the English Premier League season has come and gone, but the Serie A season comes down to some very important matches on Sunday while the German Bundesliga wraps up its own season. MLS is also in full swing, giving fans a good variety of options in what is essentially the last good weekend of international club soccer.
Here are the Top Five matches to watch this weekend:
Inter Milan at Parma– The task is simple. Win and Inter takes the title. Win and Catania loses and Parma avoids relegation. Prepare for some drama.
AS Roma at Catania– If Inter loses or ties, Roma can swipe the Scudetto with a win here while Catania needs a win and some help to avoid relegation.
Werder Bremen at Bayer Leverkusen– Bremen can hold onto second place, and the Champions League place that goes with it, with a win. Leverkusen can hold on to its UEFA Cup spot with a win.
Udinese at AC Milan– Milan is in trouble. Even a win won’t assure Milan of a Champions League place (Fiorentina has to lose to Torino), but it will be fun watching them try to secure this win.
LA Galaxy at FC Dallas– Okay, so neither of these teams are playing well, but Kenny Cooper and Landon Donovan have both been great this year and could have big days against these suspect defenses.

3 assists for Cherundolo today and Sal Zizzo got a half of time and a yellow card. Note that 3 of the 4 goals came after Sal came on at halftime.
And I can’t blame Levante — they aren’t being paid.
Nothing much happening in La Liga — mostly everything has been wrapped up. Mallorca could pass up Racing for the last UEFA Cup spot, and Zaragoza could still climb out of relegation and send Osasuna or Recreativo down.
Didn’t Parma fire their coach this week? Pretty sure there are allegationsrumors that Inter paid off Parma in some way to fire the coach.
I know Barca is light years ahead of TFC/MLS games but i think the TFC/Columbus game will still be a cracker tomorrow.
It’s fitting that Serie A is coming down to the wire, what a season! I say that as someone who hated the games on FSC last year, and was totally unthrilled by their expanded coverage.
My only complaint is that I’m bummed that there seem to be enough sketchy incidents involving Roma fans that they’re taking the fun out of rooting for the team I tried to adopt this year.
Oh well, still hope Roma pull it out. I’ll be very interested to see if Zlatan Ibrahimovic makes a return, Inter are saying he might be on the bench tomorrow, I don’t think they ever really figured out where the goals are coming from since he went down.
I think Levante might forfeit. That would be a shame.
There’s only one game that matters until the MNT starts back up and that’s on Wednesday. WILL NEVER DIE, WILL NEVER DIE. WILL NEVER DIE, WILL NEVER DIE. KEEP THE RED FLAG FLYING HIGH CUZ MAN UNITED WILL NEVER DIE.
RENY v KC on MSG
Actually, the FA Cup final is available via PPV for $24.95+fees. Comcast iNPPV shows it available from 10-2PM Saturday.
Surprised you won’t get to watch the FA Cup final.
I know I keep saying this every week, but this is a MUST WIN for D.C. United. Tom Soehn is in trouble, and so is Luciano Emilio. Results will need to be seen very soon!
Cardiff City v Portsmouth
Red Bulls v Wizards
