D.C. United’s recent domination of MLS will get just a bit tougher to maintain after word earlier today from the team that Marcello Gallardo and Gonzalo Peralta will both require sports hernia surgery. Both players are in Germany, where they will undergo operations in the next two days.

Gallardo and Peralta are expected to be sidelined for 1-2 weeks.

in other D.C. United news, the team has signed former San Jose and New York Red Bulls midfielder Joe Vide. The move comes amid word from sources that D.C. is shopping one of its midfielders.
