There's a big college soccer matchup tonight in College Park, Md. No. 2 North Carolina visits No. 4 Maryland with huge ACC implications on the line. UNC is undefeated coming in, off to a a 4-0-1 start, trailing only Akron for the No. 1 spot in the NSCAA rankings. Tonight's match kicks off at 8pm and will be broadcast live on FSC.
No. 1 Akron will put their ranking and unbeaten 6-0-0 record on the line in their MAC opener against Bowling Green on Saturday. The Zips haven't skipped a beat despite losing Steve Zakuani, and will look to assert themselves further with a mid-week matchup against Ohio State.
One of the most surprising members of the top 10 is No. 8 Harvard. A trip to Wake Forest awaits this weekend in another top 10 match up, though Wake will be without defensive stalwart Ike Opara, who is in Egypt with the U-20 World Cup side.
