very entertaining game. I didn’t think montreal was that bad at all for their first game but yes they need a lot of work. Ferarri provides good leadership but he was beaten more than a few times. Vancouver’s offense is going to be fun to watch this year :).
The BC Lions average about 30K. They open only part of the upper deck for their games. The result is a fair number of partially filled sections in both the upper and lower decks. The Whitecaps could probably draw 30K for some games, but have chosen to limit attendance to 21K by draping off the upper deck in order to create ‘atmosphere’ in what is a cavernous building.
How is it that Canadian football can fill up that stadium but the Whitecaps need to tarp off the top? I realize the CFL has a longer history but TFC had 40,000 plus in their midweek game against the Galaxy
Vancouver looks like a solid team this year. Yes, they beat Montreal, which will probably be a common occurrence this season, but they look more organized and more dangerous than ever.
