Sacha Kljestan nets his first goal of season for Anderlecht

Just days after tallying an assist on the game-winning goal for Anderlecht against Zenit St. Petersburg in Champions League play,  Sacha Kljestan knocked in his first goal of the year in Belgian League play, as Anderlecht routed Club Brugge 6-1 on Sunday. The win moves Anderlecht to the top of the standings, as they move past Zulte Waregem for first place.

For Kljestan, it is the continuation of a solid 2012, as the Californian now has two goals on the year in all competitions, after opening his scoring in a Champions League qualifier match in August to help Anderlecht qualify for the tournament.

This comes just a day after international teammate Jozy Altidore netted his own goal, with both looking to make their way to Krasnodar, as the Americans will take on Russia in a friendly on Wednesday.
