What a wicked shot, to the right of the defender so when the keeper could finally see it coming he saw it to his left before he could pick up the bend on it. The same CB who screened the shot also created the goal with that one bad touch though.
Loyd had a good game, but that poor second touch, rushed clearance, and then not stepping up quick enough definitely made him look like a goat on that play.
Still, that was an amazing, audacious shot! I think even without the screen that attempt goes in. It was a screamer with great curve and drop that just nicks the far side crossbar before going side netting, and Gonzalez was sitting near post, three yards off his line (which is good positioning).
I don’t think Gonzalez could have done much about any of the three goals though. Two off of corners that bounced around in the six yard box, and one off of a wonder strike.
