A handful of roster decisions have already been made in MLS, and now there is a new ball to accompany those changes.
On Monday, the league and sponsor adidas unveiled the official match ball, NATIVO, for the 2016 season. The ball has been tested by teams from around the world to provide the greatest control and accuracy.
“Each year, we strive to take the official match ball to the next level of performance,” adidas senior sports marketing manager Zola Short said in a joint statement. “The NATIVO delivers on that goal while giving clubs and fans a look that’s unique to Major League Soccer.”
The adidas NATIVO features six identical panels with a textured surface to provide the truest flight of the ball, according to a release.
What do you think of the new ball? Think this ball will be better?

One of the better balls the MLS has produced
Does the manufacturer get to decide what characteristics of flight the ball should have? Why should straight flight be regarded as good? What happened to hitting Roberto Carlos bending free kicks and “bending it like Beckham”?
Wish we had a yellow ball.
I’d prefer either a solid black ball or an old leather one from the 1920s….
Have no fear. Garber is trying to get Golden Balls back in the league.

Solid design and more importantly: AT LEAST IT’S NOT SILVER.
