Despite losing one of two World Cup qualifiers in March, the U.S. Men’s National Team improved its world ranking.
Jurgen Klinsmann’s men improved one spot, and are tied at No. 29 with Czech Republic in the latest FIFA rankings. However, the USMNT is now the third-highest ranked CONCACAF team in the world after Costa Rica climbed eight spots to claim No. 25. Mexico improved six spots to earn the No. 16 spot.
There is a new No. 1 in the April edition of the rankings, as Argentina leapfrogged Belgium to hold the position. Chile, Colombia and Germany round out the top five teams in the world, respectively.
The U.S. does not have any competitive or friendly fixtures scheduled in April.
What do you think of this month’s rankings? Think the USMNT is ranked too high? Too low?
