In England, the Leage Cup returns for another day of action. Manchester United headlines proceedings as Jose Mourinho’s side looks to break out of their recent funk against Northampton Town. Meanwhile, Manchester City faces fellow Premier League side Swansea City, while Cameron Carter-Vickers’ Tottenham faces Gillingham.
German soccer features a clash of the Bundesliga’s top two teams when Bayern Munich takes on a rising Hertha Berlin team.Fabian Johnson’s Borussia Monchengladbach is also in action against Terrence Boyd’s RB Leipzig, while Werder Bremen will be without Aron Johannsson for a clash with Mainz.
